Minnesota Clean School Bus Programs

Minnesota is supporting CHARGE Communities thanks to its Clean School Bus Programs. Volkswagen settlement funds and other state funding support diesel school bus replacements in Greater Minnesota. Together, with the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean School Bus Program, the grant reduces diesel emissions to improve air quality and public health by removing older diesel buses and replacing them with new, cleaner, buses, including electric buses. Diesel pollution is known to cause developmental harm in children. Getting dirty, diesel buses off the road supports the long-term health of the next generation. Communities across the country need support launching innovative programs just like this!
