Forth’s Affordable Mobility Platform
Detroit, Michigan is a CHARGE Community thanks to Forth’s Affordable Mobility Platform (AMP). The program aims to provide access to electric vehicles in underserved communities, especially those in affordable housing, to reduce barriers to transportation options and EV adoption. The project is led at the national level by Forth Mobility with Michigan Clean Cities leading project activities in Michigan and closely collaborating with Elevate Energy. AMP is primarily funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Vehicle Technology Office. AMP has plans to launch 50 shared EVs and level-2 chargers at affordable housing locations and in underserved communities in eight states by the end of 2025. Communities across the country need support launching innovative programs just like this!
